Give a Math Club Talk

So you'd like to give a Math Club talk. Super! Here are the guidelines:

  • Email one of the Event Council Members to schedule your talk. You may suggest some times that would be convenient to you. Tuesday and Thursday 12:30 - 1:15 pm (for lunch) or 4:30 - 5:15 pm (for tea and cookies) are traditional.
  • Send us a blurb about the subject of your talk at least one week in advance. Make it at least one paragraph long and preferably not more than three. See Old Events or the Main Page to get an idea of what to write.
  • Prepare a talk that will last between 20 and 45 minutes. Feel free to include slides or other props. Please tell us at least two weeks in advance if you intend to use Powerpoint or need any other sort of technology that you cannot provide yourself besides a very basic projector (for physical slides).
